We’ve introduced a new option within SMS notifications that allows you to automatically notify customers 15 days before their points expire, helping boost engagement and reduce unused points and rewards. Learn how to create an SMS campaign.

Use Case & Value

  • Customer Retention: Give customers a gentle nudge to come back and redeem their points before they lose them.

  • Increased Redemption Rates: Prompt action from customers who may otherwise forget about expiring points.

  • Frictionless Communication: Seamlessly integrated within Gameball’s communication system, no manual scheduling needed.

How It Works

  • A pre-expiry SMS notification is triggered 15 days before the customer's points expire.

  • You can enable or disable this feature directly from the SMS notifications settings page.

We’ve made it easier than ever to connect your marketing campaigns to Gameball rewards. You can now deep-link directly to a specific redemption option inside the widget, whether it's Free Shipping, a Free Product, or a Discount Code, offering a seamless path from promotion to redemption.

Use Cases & Benefits

  • Higher Engagement: Drive more redemptions by linking CTA buttons, banners, or push notifications directly to the reward.

  • Frictionless Experience: Eliminate extra steps; let customers land right on the reward you want them to see.

  • Campaign Alignment: Match your reward with the message. Running a “Free Gift” promo? Take customers directly there.

Key Features

  • New Widget Deep-Linking Parameter: Developers can now append a reward ID to the widget trigger code to open a specific redemption item.

Redemption ID Visibility: Every reward option now includes a unique ID accessible via the 3-dots menu on the dashboard.

  • Full Widget Context: The widget opens with full redemption details (points, rules, image, etc.) and “Redeem” button preloaded.

  • Works Across Channels: Embed links in web banners, emails, mobile CTAs, or even QR codes.

Example Use Case

A marketing banner with the CTA based on the customer points balance “Get Your Free Soda Now!” can now open the widget directly to the soda reward redemption page.

Other Improvements

1. Exclude Specific Customers Across All Campaign Types and Modules

We’ve rolled out the ability to exclude specific customers from all campaign types, including Reward Campaigns and Automation Campaigns, as well as across every Gameball module that supports audience selection.

  • Avoid Overexposure: Prevent power customers or test accounts from being included in active campaigns.

  • Enhance Personalization: Exclude irrelevant audiences for better-performing, more focused customer experiences.

Example: Exclude VIP customers from entry-level campaigns or testing groups from live promotions.

You can now add external redirection links to their Terms & Conditions inside the “What is Points” and “What is Score” sections in the widget FAQ.

Use Case

Direct your customers to your own Terms & Conditions page for compliance or detailed policy explanations.

How It Works

  • Use this format: {Link Text[https://yourdomain.com/terms]} when editing the FAQ text.

  • Available only inside:

    • “What is Points?”

    • “What is Score?”

To enhance accuracy in order tracking and reporting, Gameball now includes the original order date and time (submitted via the Order API) in the exported transactions sheet from the Activities tab.

What’s New?

  • A new column has been added to show the actual order date/time sent.

  • This is separate from the existing “received at” timestamp (when Gameball received the order).

  • Available in all newly exported files.
