Offering customers multiple ways to redeem their points is crucial for enhancing gamification and their loyalty to your brand. With Gameball's versatile redemption system, you can create a seamless and rewarding experience for your customers. By setting up various redemption options, you empower your customers to choose how they want to utilize their points.

In this article, we'll walk you through configuring the points redemption system and customizing redemption options to cater to your customers' diverse preferences and needs.


Step-by-Step Instruction

Launching Redeem Loyalty Points

To start setting your redemption rule, all you have to do is:

  1. Login to your Gameball Dashboard

  2. From the Left side menu click on Programs

  3. Choose Redeem Points, and you will be directed to the Redeem Pointing System configuration page


Activating the Point-to-Cash Redemption

This allows your customers to convert the points they have in their balance into a cash equivalent.

  1. Under the red redemption options click on the three dots on the first card then click on edit.

  2. Enter the equivalent monetary value of one point based on your chosen currency.

  3. Click Save.

  4. Make sure the toggle at the upper right of the Point-to-Cash Redemption section is set to Active.

Important: The toggle will remain active unless another redemption rule is added.


Customizing Redemption Options

Gameball offers additional customization options for redemption values. Customers can redeem their points for the following reward types:

Online Only Rewards

  1. Percentage-Based Discount: Customers can exchange their points for a coupon that provides a percentage discount on their next purchase.

  2. Fixed Amount Discount: Customers can redeem their points for a coupon that offers a fixed-value discount on their purchase.

  3. Free Shipping: Customers can use their points to get free shipping on their order.

  4. Free Product: Customers can redeem their points to receive specific products at no cost.

  5. Percentage-Based Cashback (Non-Platform Only): Customers can use a coupon to receive a percentage of their purchase amount back as cashback, credited to their wallet in points or store credit.

  6. Fixed Amount Cashback (Non-Platform Only): Customers can use a coupon to receive a fixed amount of cashback, credited to their wallet in points or store credit—regardless of the total purchase amount.

  7. Percentage-Based Fees Discount (Non-Platform Only): Customers can receive a coupon that applies a percentage discount to transaction fees.

POS Rewards (Shopify Only)

  1. POS Fixed Amount Coupon: Redeem points for a specific amount off at point-of-sale.

  2. POS Percentage Coupon: Redeem points for a percentage discount at point-of-sale.

To add a new way to redeem points:

  1. On the Redeem Points page, click Add Redemption Option.

  2. You will be redirected to a new page to add an Extra Redemption Rule.

  3. Choose the Redemption Type.

  4. Configure the reward based on the type selected.

  5. Click Save.

Once saved, your new rule will appear in the Custom Redemption Options grid. Click More details to view a full table of all configured redemption rules.


Settings

Points Holding Duration:

Set the duration that holds the request until your player completes the customer process on your mobile app using any other payment method in case it will be a partial payment using points. All you have to do is:

  • Choose the Holding Duration Value

  • Select the Points Holding Time(Days, Months, Years)


Insights and Analytics

Use Gameball analytics to track and improve your points redemption strategy:

Total Redemptions
Monitor the total number of redemptions made across all options. This helps assess the popularity and effectiveness of each method.

Total Redeemed Points
Track the cumulative number of redeemed points. This metric offers insights into customer engagement and can guide adjustments in your rewards strategy.ake data-driven decisions to optimize customer retention and loyalty.
