Gameball player widget language can be changed based on the active language of the player (customer). Currently, Gameball supports the below languages:
German or Deutsch (de)
Taiwanese Mandarin (zh-TW)
How to choose the default language?
You can access the languages configurations in Gameball Admin Dashboard through Player Widget Settings > General: Languages
Under Default Language, choose your widget language from the drop-down list.
Your account should have a default language, its data will be used and shown to your players (customers) in case you have another active language with missing data. However, you can add more than one language
How to add an extra language?
Click on Add Language next to "Additional Languages." Then choose the second language, and click Add.
What will happen after adding a new language?
Once you add a new supported language to your Gameball account in addition to the current one, all data in the system which will be shown to your player in the widget will have an extra field of the newly added language.
You can see the below example while adding the level name in case we have 2 languages active (left) and 1 language active (right):
What fields will be affected once you add a new language?
Once you add a new supported language to your Gameball account in addition to the current one, the below fields will need your corresponding language data:
Score name (In case you are using Score as the leveling up method)
Challenge name and description
Guest view intro and button text
Referral tab title and description
Message title, body, and button text
All system notifications
❗️❗️Important note: In case you are adding a new language after finishing the experience design and configurations, you will need to update all the above fields one by one to add the corresponding data for every field.
