Learn how to manually relocate a player to a specific level, and how Gameball treats to this change.

If you want to put certain players on specific levels regardless of where the system's calculations are putting them, you can now manually relocate any of your players to different levels with few steps.

How to Manually Update a Player’s Level?

You can change the level of a single player, or multiple players.

Changing the level of a single player:

  • Go to Gameball Admin Dashboard, click Players, then choose or search for the player you want to apply the manual change on.

  • When you are on the player's profile, then click more, then Adjust Level found on the top right of the page.

Changing the levels of multiple players:

  • Go to Gameball Admin Dashboard, then click Players

  • Filter the players' list to include only the players you want to apply the manual change on

  • Click More, then Export

  • Update the CSV file with the players' levels, then upload it back again to Gameball

the following steps are the same for applying level adjustment to both single and multiple players:

  • Choose the level you want to relocate the player to.

  • Choose the behavior of the new level you want Gameball to apply on the player:

    • The player will be placed into the manual level, and the system will depend on the player's progress later according to the chosen leveling method.

    • The player will be placed into the manual level forever with no later evaluation.

    • The player will be placed into the manual level temporarily with no evaluation till a specific date.

  • Choose the expiry date if you have chosen to apply the third behavior.

  • Type down the reason for the manual level adjustment.

  • Click Adjust Level

What Happens When You Manually Update a Player’s Level?

Below is a list of all rules for manually change the level of a player:

  • You will be able to see if the player resides on a level because of manual intervention. You will also be able to see the type of level behavior you set and the reason for the manual adjustment if you have written any.

  • When extracting a CSV file of the players' data, you will find a column that includes information about whether there was a manual level adjustment for each player.

  • If a player is manually added to a level, they will be able to see that and will see the expiry date for staying on that level (if exists).

  • Gameball integrated apps will be updated with the new level of the player.

  • When manually adjusting the level for single or multiple players, they will receive the level welcome reward that you have assigned to each level. Read more

    They will also receive an email if they were relocated to a higher level and if the level email achievement is on.

What Happens When Choosing Any of the Three Behaviors When Adjusting a Level Manually?

For choosing that the player will be placed into the manual level, and the system will depend on the player progress later according to the chosen leveling method:

  • Gameball will place the player on the new level and count the progress starting from the moment the adjustment is applied.

For choosing that the player will be placed into the manual level forever with no later evaluation:

  • Any player added on a level manually will be excluded from any evaluation that is done on their level.

  • In case of changing the leveling up method or the level expiry, the player will still stay on the manual level

For choosing that the player will be placed into the manual level temporarily with no evaluation till a specific date:

  • Any player added on a level manually will be excluded from any evaluation that is done on their level.

  • Once the expiry date of the manual level arrives, Gameball will start applying the evaluation according to the current leveling-up method, and expiry.

  • In case of changing the leveling up method or level expiry, the player will stay on the manual level until the manual expiry date arrives, then Gameball evaluation will start taking place.

How to Reset a Manual Level Adjustment? And What Happens upon This Action?

If you want to reset the manually adjusted level for a player, Go to the player's profile and click reset under the player's level.

  • When resetting the manual level, Gameball will evaluate the player level according to the chosen leveling-up method/expiry and relocate the player accordingly.

  • If after resetting the player's level, the player leveled up according to the evaluation, a level welcome reward will be given, and an email will be sent to the player if the level achievement is on.
